Tai chi classes are being offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Everett Senior Center at a cost of only $5 per class. The classes, which are taught by Mary Pope, are held from 9-9:45 a.m. and 9:45-10:30 a.m.

This form of exercise is described as a gentle martial art that is easy and fun to learn. It is ideal for those with physical limitations. Tai chi can help with balance, flexibility, strength, coordination and concentration. It is endorsed by the Arthritis Foundation. Call 865-983-9422 to sign up. The beginner class is held at 9 a.m.
