Emily Danuta Brzozowicz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Seward Reading and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Peter Brzozowicz, all of Charlotte, North Carolina, married Brett Allen Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Allen Jackson, of Maryville, on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Rev. Grady Moseley officiated the ceremony. The newly married couple resides in Nashville.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Harold Bascom Bates, of Burlington, North Carolina, and the late Dr. Bates and the late Mr. and Mrs. Czeslaw Peter Brzozowicz, of Toronto, Ontario. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Joe Allen Jackson and the late Mr. Jackson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Russell Clay Willocks, of Maryville.

The bride is a graduate of Myers Park High School and received her bachelor of of arts degree from Queens University in Charlotte. She is a Legal Assistant with Bone McAllester Norton law firm in Nashville.

The groom is a graduate of Maryville High School and received his bachelor of arts in economics from Vanderbilt University. He is the Chief of Staff and Director of Strategy with Aspire Health.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Her sister, Caroline Clair Brzozowicz, of Nashville, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included: Elizabeth Atkins Bates, of Asheville, Bailey Ulmer Creasy, of Nashville, Lauren Rebecca Garrett, of Charlotte, Caitlin Marie Miller, of Charlotte, and Elizabeth Black Pogue, of Nashville.

The groom’s brother, Austin Clay Jackson, of San Diego, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included: John David Creasy, Phillip John Gamble, Robert David Hoehn, Franklin Joseph Pogue and Nathan Henry Yates, all of Nashville.

Ushers included Robert Bascom Bates, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Robert Dare Williams, of Nashville. Readers were Pamela Ann Yasny, of Delray Beach, Florida, and Phillip Richmond Rodgers, of Birmingham, Alabama. Bulletin attendants were Erin Reading Ray and Rachel Ann Reading, of Charlotte.

The bride’s parents hosted a reception at The Terrace at Cedar Hill. The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Duke Mansion. A post-wedding brunch was hosted by family and friends of the bride’s parents at Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen at South Park.

After a mini-moon in Highlands, N.C., Emily and Brett plan to honeymoon in Asia next year.
