Alexis Bales, daughter of Craig and Christie Bales, of Maryville, was united in marriage with James McMahan II, son of James and Michelle McMahan, of Seymour, April 2, at First Baptist Alcoa. The bride’s grandfather, the Rev. John Lowe, officiated.
Cameryn Byrd, of Maryville, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Bales, Courtney Bales and Meghann Parry, all of Maryville, and Sarah Hoel and Nicole Thompson, both of Seymour.
Flower girls were Lilykate and Charlee Shuler, of Maryville. Ring bearers were Gray and Kayden Jay Livingston, of Maryville.
James McMahan, of Seymour, was best man. Groomsmen were Thomas Moriarty, Shay Widner, Coty Thompson and Mark Hoel, all of Seymour, Terrance Jackson, of Knoxville, and Yan Zhang, of Atlanta.
A reception was held at Sampson’s Hollow.
After a wedding trip to Disney World, the couple are living in Seymour.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of Maryville High School and a 2015 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Master of Science degree in early childhood education. She is employed as an educational assistant at John Sevier Elementary, Maryville City Schools.
The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Seymour High School. He is employed at DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee.
