The Smoky Mountain Animal Care Foundation will host its first Ales & Tails fundraiser on Sunday, April 28, to benefit the Blount County Animal Center. The event will be held 4-7 p.m. at Round 6 Brewing, 427 Whitecrest Drive, Maryville.

The evening will include craft beer, live music by Pistol Creek Catch of the Day, a barbecue dinner and a silent auction.

Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door and include dinner, a drink ticket and a door prize entry. Tickets can be purchased at three Maryville locations: Blount County Animal Center, 233 Currie Drive; Vienna Coffee House, 212 College St.; and Round 6 Brewing. Purchase tickets online at http://squareup.com/store/SMACF.

The Blount County Animal Center has served the community for more than 10 years and is the only open-access municipal shelter in the county. SMACF partners with the shelter to provide funding for veterinary care and support spay/neuter initiatives.

Merchants or individuals who would like to be sponsors or contribute something for the silent auction, should contact SMACF at smacffundraiser@gmail.edu.
