Downton Abbey

Downton Abbey will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Sept. 14 with a tea.

The Blount County Public Library will hold a “Return to Downton Abbey Tea” at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, in the library’s Main Gallery.

“We invite you to have some tea with us and be swept away to the age of grace and refinement found in Downton Abbey. Ladies and gentlemen of all ages are invited to attend this event,” the library said in a press release.

There will be tea, scones, finger sandwiches and cake. Following refreshments, there will be a Downton Abbey trivia contest. Guests are encouraged to wear their finest Downton Abbey attire, including a hat or a fascinator. Prizes will be awarded for trivia winners and for the best hat or fascinator (adult and youth categories).

The library said the Blount County Friends of the Library is providing this program Foothills AMC Theatre will provide some of the prizes.
