Alcoa city Commissioners (from left) Stephen Biggar, Eddie Hall, Mayor Tanya Martin, Tracey Cooper and Josh Blair now have a full board after Hall was sworn in Friday.
Alcoa Board of Commissioners appointed Eddie Hall to fill a vacancy on the board following the resignation of a commissioner in December. City Attorney Stephanie Coleman administered the oath of office to Hall before he took his first seat at the front of the commission chambers Friday morning, Jan. 20.
In a previous meeting, Mayor Tanya Martin said she felt it was right to nominate Hall since he had run in the November election and was runner up. Now the board has three new commissioners joining Martin and Vice Mayor Tracey Cooper, who have served since 2018 and 2020.
