Friendsville resident Austin Shoffner won the $100 jackpot in Week 14 of The Daily Times Football Contest by correctly forecasting all 13 games.

Shoffner tied for a second place in the contest in September 2017.

Betty Queener, of Greenback, will collect the $50 second-place prize in Week 14 for missing only the Alabama-Auburn game and coming in with the closest tiebreaker in the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game, won by the Vols 28-10.

Two entrants tied for third place and each will receive $25. They are Maryville residents Daniel Raby and Charles Gray. Both missed one game and tied on the tiebreaker.

Many entrants showed no faith in the Maryville Rebels or Greenback high school teams, while many placed too much faith in Alabama and Minnesota. Fifteen entrants missed only one game, but most lost out by going too high on the tiebreaker.

Week 14 ends the regular season for the contest. The next ballot will appear on Dec. 17 on page 5B.
