Heritage High School was evacuated Tuesday after a bomb threat was found written on a bathroom wall, school officials said.

Blount County Schools spokeswoman Marla Holbert confirmed school administrators were notified of a written threat on a bathroom wall at around 2:27 p.m.

All students at the high school were evacuated, Holbert said, as officials “go through the proper protocols for situations like this.”

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office searched the building and cleared it shortly after 4 p.m., Holbert told The Daily Times.

Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Marian O’Briant said no explosives were found in the school and no arrests were immediately made.

Kids figured out how to use public hysteria to get out of school early. Culprit will be a school legend. If the police want to know who did it just look for the kid getting all the high 5's Monday morning
