Maryville College is accepting applications for full-tuition scholarships for the 2020-21 academic year through the McGill Scholarship Program.

The Dan and Melanie Mays McGill Scholarship will be awarded to five outstanding incoming freshmen and covers tuition and is renewable for up to four years of full-time study with an annual GPA of 3.25.

McGill Fellowships recognize the academic accomplishments and leadership abilities of 20 incoming freshmen and five transfer students. Valued at $4,000 each year, the fellowships are awarded in addition to the Presidential Scholarship and are renewable for up to four years of full-time study with an annual GPA of 3.0. McGill Fellows are selected from the McGill Scholarship applicant pool.

To qualify for these awards, incoming freshmen must have a combined minimum 30 ACT superscore or 1390 SAT superscore and a minimum 3.8 high school weighted GPA. Applicants also should have demonstrated leadership abilities. The application process, which must be concluded by Dec. 1, includes applying for admission to Maryville College and submitting an online scholarship application via the application portal, two teacher recommendation letters and an essay on a given topic.

The college will award five outstanding transfer students the $4,000 McGill Transfer Fellowship. Eligibility criteria include a minimum 3.5 college GPA and demonstrated leadership abilities. The fellowship will be awarded in addition to other merit-based aid and is renewable for up to four years of full-time study with an annual GPA of 3.0.

The application process for transfers, which should be completed by May 1, 2020, includes applying for admission to Maryville College and submitting an online scholarship application via the application portal, one teacher recommendation letter and an essay on a given topic.
