Maryville College has been listed for the fourth consecutive year among Viqtory Media’s Military Friendly Schools.

The college currently has 52 military and military-related students, 25 veterans and 27 dependents.

“We are grateful for their service and proud to welcome them as part of the Maryville College community,” Maryville College President Tom Bogart said. “Veterans add important dimensions to the Maryville College experience. The life experience and professional skills developed in the military give our veterans context and insight that improve discussions in and out of class.”

Maryville College accepts military tuition assistance, Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits, TN Strong Act and other veteran educational benefits. Additionally, MC offers its MC Helping Heroes Scholarship for military members who have not accrued 100% of Veterans Administration education benefits. The college also provides academic credit for formal military training, accommodations for those with disabilities and career placement assistance for veterans.

Viqtory Media’s ratings are based on federal agency data, opinions from veteran students and surveys of participating organizations. The Military Friendly Advisory Council and a third-party auditor examine student-veteran retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence and loan default rates. Details about the ratings are online at www.militaryfriendly.com.
