State Rep. Jerome Moon, R-Maryville, has been appointed to the House State Committee as one of 22 members who will be responsible for all legislation and matters related to state government.

Moon also serves as chairman of the Cities and Counties Subcommittee.

“Rep. Moon’s knowledge and experience on state and local issues will be invaluable to the House State Committee,” said House Speaker Cameron Sexton, R-Crossville, who appointed Moon. “I appreciate Chairman Moon’s passion for serving, and I know he will do a great job.”

Moon said: “I believe my experience in local government and as subcommittee chairman will help provide a new perspective and new ideas as we work to address the needs of all Tennesseans.”
