The Blount County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Rockford man who was last seen April 29 at his Rockford Walker Court home.
BCSO spokeswoman Marian O’Briant said a relative reported 64-year-old David J. Carver missing June 2.
“A Silver Alert was not issued, but he is entered into NCIC as a missing person,” O’Briant said.
A Silver Alert is a public notification system to broadcast information about missing persons, particularly senior citizens with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other mental disabilities.
Carver was described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds, with gray hair, a white beard and hazel eyes. He has several tattoos, including a cross on his right hand, Harley-Davidson on his right arm, a tiger on his left forearm, and a flag and eagle on his left arm.
O’Briant said Carver’s family did not disclose any known medical conditions but said he had a few hobbies including ginseng hunting, billiards and tossing horseshoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the BCSO at 865-273-5001.
