A Rockford woman on probation for recent drug convictions was arrested this week on new drug delivery charges.
Cindy Lou Neely, 55, Littlebrook Circle, was arrested Tuesday on three counts of delivery of a Schedule I controlled substance (heroin). She was jailed on bonds totaling $75,000 and is scheduled to appear at a 9 a.m. Oct. 24 hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court.
A spokesperson for the Blount County Sheriff’s Office said Neely was arrested after investigators with the 5th Judicial Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at her residence.
The charges stemmed from multiple drug buys investigators made from her over the past month, the Sheriff’s Office said. During Tuesday’s search, investigators reported finding a small amount of heroin, Suboxone and gabapentin.
Neely was already on probation from charges she picked up in September 2017 when narcotics investigators conducted a search warrant at her residence, the Sheriff’s Office said.
On April 2, she pleaded guilty to maintaining a dwelling for drug use and possession with intent to sell a Schedule II controlled substance (morphine). She was sentenced to three years of supervised probation.
Court records show authorities filed a violation of probation charge 11 days later, which she pleaded guilty to in July. As a result of her arrest this week, she faces another probation violation.
