Drug investigators who allegedly made several buys from an Alcoa man arrested him Thursday.

Ralph Kelvin Garner Jr., 38, Upton Street, Alcoa, was arrested by Blount County Sheriff's deputies at 6:08 p.m. Feb. 28. Members of the 5th Judicial Drug Task Force had been buying drugs from Garner over a period of time as a part of an investigation, Blount County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Marian O'Briant said.

Garner was charged with six counts of delivery of cocaine. Two of those charges were in a drug-free zone. Springbrook Park in Alcoa is a drug-free zone and is just over 1 mile from Garner's residence.

Garner was being held on $120,000 bond and his hearing is set for 9 a.m. today in Blount County General Sessions Court.
