NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Health Care Association has named David Maxwell, vice president/administrator of Shannondale of Maryville Retirement Community, to its board of directors for 2018-19.

Abigail Holliday, executive director of Life Care Center of Blount County in Louisville, also was named to the statewide board.

They join other board members in directing the organization as it works to enhance the ability of its members to provide essential long-term care services for the elderly and disabled through education, advocacy and leadership.

“THCA is fortunate to have a very strong leadership foundation in place,” THCA Executive Director Jesse Samples said. “Our board members are dedicated to quality long-term care, and they bring a tremendous amount of expertise and experience to our profession.”

Maxwell has been a member of THCA for 29 years. He also has served on the Tennessee Center for Assisted Living board of directors. Maxwell resides in Seymour with his wife, Diane. The couple has one daughter, Lauren.
