Sounds of the Season at McGhee Tyson Airport has arrived again after more than 25 years of musical entertainment featuring school children, choral groups and senior choirs.

The program by the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority gives local performance groups the opportunity to perform seasonal music to travelers and employees. This year, more than 30 groups have volunteered to entertain and show their holiday spirit through Dec. 13.

Performances will be held in front of the fountain on the second floor of the airport terminal.

Groups with Blount County connections include:

Today, Dec. 3 — Eagleton Elementary School at 9 a.m., Hallelujah Chorus at noon.

Wednesday, Dec. 4 — Alcoa Intermediate School at 10 a.m., Alcoa sixth grade at 11 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 6 — Heritage seventh grade at 11 a.m.

Dec. 10 — Carpenters Elementary School at 8:30 a.m., Fairview Elementary School at 9:30 a.m.

Dec. 11 — Middlesettlements Elementary School at 9 a.m., Alcoa Elementary at 10 a.m., King’s Academy Middle School at 10:30 a.m., Montvale Elementary School at 11 a.m.

Dec. 13 — Heritage eighth grade at 9 a.m., Eagleton Middle School at 9:30 a.m., John Sevier Elementary School at 10 a.m., Heritage High School at 10:30 a.m., William Blount High School at 1:30 p.m., Foothills Elementary School at 3:30 p.m.
