A teen charged with delinquency has been arrested after reportedly making threats against William Blount High School, the Blount County Sheriff’s Office announced in a press release Wednesday.
Deputies arrested the teen at Union Grove Middle School when his bus driver found out about the threats and stopped there, the report states.
He is being held at the Blount County Juvenile Center and will face a hearing in Juvenile Court within three days.
The sheriff's office reported it also visited the teen's home and concluded he did not have access to any weapons, though officials said they will be following up on all leads.
BCSO will have three school resource officers at both William Blount and Heritage high schools beginning this year, the release states.
