The first library had a collection of 1,200 volumes, and patrons could only check out only one book at a time. There was a $5 fee for library membership, which was payable in five installments and good for the whole family. Today, the library has over 185,000 volumes, including books, audiobooks, DVDs and CDs, as well as access to computers, hotspots, a seed library, classes, events and activities.
