Tremont Anniversary

Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont will host its annual Homecoming Celebration from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, the institute announced in a press release.

The public is invited to join Tremont for an evening that will include a social hour, campfire and s’mores bar, seated dinner, live auction, remarks from President & CEO Catey Terry, and a special 50th-anniversary commemorative ceremony.

Attendees are encouraged to come prepared to bid on exclusive Tremont experiences during the live auction and share their Tremont stories and memories in an interactive story booth.

The event will celebrate Tremont Institute and the education programs that have inspired thousands of adults and children since 1969. All proceeds from the evening benefit the Scholarship Fund, which empowers the organization to provide financial aid to thousands of visiting students who spend three to 10 days living and learning in the national park each year.

Tickets start at $60 per person, and multiple ticket options are available.

Seating is limited.

Individuals must RSVP for the event by Sept. 27 online at http://gsmit.org/event/50th-anniversary-homecoming/.

Attendees also can register to spend the weekend on campus in the lodge or platform tents. For more details about this package, visit http://gsmit.org/event/homecoming-full-weekend-package/.

The Homecoming Celebration will be held rain or shine.

Inquiries may be directed to Caleb Carlton at caleb@gsmit.org or 865-448-9732, ext. 24. Sponsorship slots are available.
