A Maryville man faces drug charges after Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force and Blount County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. team members executed a search warrant Monday afternoon on Tarbett Road.

Police reportedly found heroin and two ounces of crystal methamphetamine in a home belonging to 47-year-old Ronald Dale Tarbett.

Officers also seized $1,000 in cash.

Tarbett was charged with possession of Schedule I and II drugs, delivery of a Schedule II drug and the manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of less than a half a gram of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a drug-free zone with the intent to sell or distribute.

He also may face additional charges, according to BCSO.

Tarbett was being held Tuesday in the Blount County Correctional Facility on a $280,000 bond pending a 9 a.m. hearing Sept. 4 in Blount County General Sessions Court.

Officers also arrested a Knoxville woman, 48-year-old Angela Denise Clampet, who was charged with the manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of less than a half a gram of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a drug-free zone with the intent to sell or distribute.

Clampet also was wanted for failure to appear for an unspecified charge.

She was being held on an $86,500 bond pending hearings at 9 a.m. Aug. 28 and Sept. 4 in Blount County General Sessions Court.

Four other people who were present in the home weren’t charged and were released.

The investigation is ongoing.
