Dear Editor:

The nearly two-page article (Sunday, 1B, “Deep religious roots”) about our friends the Jews was well done. It did bring to my mind the question: Why on Easter? I feel certain that the editor knew that it was Easter and that Easter is the most sacred of Christian holidays.

Why then the emphasis on the Jewish religion on that particular day? Please give us a brief explanation.
