Dear Editor:

A letter in the Nov. 1 edition stated Christian nationalists are afraid of the changing U.S. demographics, the new discoveries and improving moral views of the modern world — discoveries that challenge literal biblical views.

He is right! I’m old and very afraid — not for myself but for my nation. I’ve lived through many cultural changes, most not good. I’ve seen the Holy Bible (God’s word) revised many times to adjust to man's ever-changing hearts and minds to justify our sinful nature.

“Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more that the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen” (Romans 1:25 KJV).

A moral fungus is growing at hyperspeed in America. Today we have met the assassins, the perverts, the literal abominations. As for Christianity, we are capable of perversity through compromise and tolerance.

Through our "improved" moral standards we have learned to morally terminate (murder) the unborn; accept remarriage (adultery); create unisex restrooms; and legalize everything to accommodate modern morals — alcohol, lottery, drugs, etc.

After all, as someone said, God himself is an invention and his name is a Tin Pan Alley tune, his day a Disneyland.

“Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk there in, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein” (Jeremiah 6:16 KJV).
