Two Maryville College basketball players earned awards from the USA South Athletic Conference following their performances last week.

Junior guard Klaire Varney was named the conference's Player of the Week after two standout performances at the Pat Deacon Classic in Danville, Ky.

In a win over No. 10-ranked Transylvania on Saturday she had a career-high 32 points to go with nine rebounds, eight steals and six assists. In a loss to Southern Virginia on Sunday she had eight points, six rebounds and two steals.

Freshman Felix Uadiale repeated as USA South Rookie of the Week. In two games at the Maryville Thanksgiving Classic, he averaged 7.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, one assist and one steal. In an overtime loss to Oglethorpe on Saturday he had 13 points and nine rebounds.
