Alec Taitague's goal in the 62nd minute lifted Roanoke to a 1-0 victory over Maryville on Sunday in the final day of the All Sports Café/Roanoke Invitational.

The game remained scoreless until Dylan Berk served a ball into the box, and it was headed home by Taitague for the game-winner.

The Scots (2-2) took the ensuing kickoff and attacked the Maroons (3-0), but Jace Burchfiel's shot was turned away by Zach Behe to preserve the RC lead.

Roanoke held an 11-7 edge in shots and led in corner kicks 3-2.

Behe finished with three saves, while Luke Semann had four for Maryville College.
