Maryville College has named Anthony Monaco as its Director of Golf. Monaco will lead the Scots' men's and women's teams beginning this fall.

Monaco was the head coach of Division II Urbana (Ohio) University for the last two seasons.

Monaco led Urbana to three top-five finishes last season and set team records for 18-hole score, 36-hole score, team scoring average and most birdies.

The Blue Knights also set 10 individual school records.

"I was impressed with his experience and his success in recruiting while building a competitive golf program," Maryville athletics director Kandis Schram said in a university release. "His enthusiasm in developing student-athletes through the sport he loves was evident. Both of our golf programs will benefit from his passion to teach."
