Sophomore forward Austin Vineyard and sophomore midfielder Milan Card each netted a goal to lift Maryville College to a 2-0 shutout victory over Pfeiffer on Saturday in Misenheimer, N.C.

Vineyard's goal came in the 54th minute after a scoreless first half that saw each side post three shots. It was his team-high sixth goal of the season. Card added to the Scots lead with a unassisted goal in the 70th minute.

Senior goalkeeper Ryan Jorgensen earned a relatively easy shutout in net with Pfeiffer failing to put a shot on goal.

The Scots (6-3, 5-2 USA South) will be back in action Oct. 9 against Emory in Atlanta.
