Hailey Davis' first-half goal proved to be all Roanoke would need to defeat Maryville College on Sunday.

In the 33rd minute during the first half, Davis took an Abigal Burke pass and dribbled to just inside the right box. Davis placed her shot into the corner of the net to give Roanoke (3-1) a 1-0 victory.

Maryville fell to 2-2.

Roanoke threatened to double its lead in the 61st minute, but Ellie Schad's shot was turned away by Maryville goalkeeper Abbey Coleman.

Roanoke held an 8-7 edge in kicks and a 6-3 lead in corner kicks.
