Tennessee vs Charlotte

Tennessee wide receiver Marquez Callaway (1) catches a punt return and runs 82 yards to the end zone during the first quarter of Saturday’s game against Charlotte.

Three University of Tennessee seniors on Thursday were named to the Preseason Coaches All-SEC team.

Wide receiver Marquez Callaway was named to the second team as a return specialist. His career punt return average of 13.4 yards is the highest among active players in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

Callaway has returned 29 punts for 389 yards and has scored two touchdowns, including an 82-yarder last season. He will be one of the Vols' top pass targets, too. He led the team with 37 receptions for 592 yards last year.

Linebacker Darrell Taylor and safety Nigel Warrior were named to the third team. Taylor's eight sacks last season are the most of any returning player in the SEC. He had four sacks against Kentucky and was named National Defensive Player of the Week.

Warrior has started 24-straight games. He ranked third on the team with 64 tackles last year and has 169 tackles in 36 career games.
