A strong second quarter carried William Blount to a 54-45 girls basketball victory over Oliver Springs on Tuesday night.

Oliver Springs led by three points after the first quarter, but the Lady Governors dominated the second quarter en route to a 29-21 halftime lead.

Jenna Kallenberg led William Blount with 21 points, and Kendyl Tillie scored 12 points.

McKenna Myers scored seven of her 11 points in the fourth quarter as the Lady Governors staved off Oliver Springs' comeback effort.
