Parkside Halloween

More than 200 people attended the Maryville Housing Authority’s Halloween Party, held Oct. 24 outdoors at the Parkside Housing area. The event is held each year for the children who are residents of the housing area. It is always well attended and supported by a number of community organizations including the fire and police departments and Blount County Habitat for Humanity, a statement said. There were several games and activities along with lots of candy. MHA holds holiday-themed events throughout the year. Maya Luxemburg, 15, (back row from left), Brandon Clark, 10, Destinee Taylor, 14, Annalise Claxton, 8, (front row from left) and Jakiyrah Burks, 8, are all smiles during Thursday night’s Halloween party for Parkside area kids. The weather was perfect for an oudoor event.
