BORING FAMILY: Will hold its reunion at noon on Saturday, June 15, at Happy Valley Community Center. There will be a potluck lunch. Plates, utensils and cups will be provided. A printer will be available to make copies of photographs and documents for those wanting to share.

EVERETT HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1956: Will hold a spring gathering 12:30-5 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the American Legion Post 13 at 224 Waters Road, Maryville. EVERETT HIGH ALUMNI LUNCHEON: Will be held on Tuesday, June 25, at Heritage High School. Doors will open at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at 12:15 p.m. The host class is the class of 1966.

SIX MILE COMMUNITY REUNION: Will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Six Mile Baptist Church pavilion. The potluck dinner will be held at noon. Attendees are asked to bring photos, stories of the churches, schools and community to share. Open to anyone interested in the history of the community. Drinks, paper products and plastic ware will be provided. (No alcohol.)

THE WELCOME TABLE: New Providence Presbyterian Church, located at 703 W. Broadway in Maryville offers a free meal to the community from 5-6 p.m. each Tuesday. The Welcome Table is also offered from 5-6 p.m. each Thursday at Maryville First United Methodist Church, 804 Montvale Station Road. All are welcome.

Health, Fitness

MENTAL HEALTH AND SUICIDE PREVENTION ALLIANCE OF BLOUNT COUNTY: Meets from noon to 1 p.m. the first Friday of every month at Blount Partnership, 201 S. Washington St., Maryville. The group is dedicated to improving mental health and preventing suicide through awareness, direct action and advocacy. Those interested in working toward the case are welcome.

Melanie joined The Daily Times in the early 90s and has served as the Life section editor since 1993. A William Blount and UT alum, Melanie is generally the early arriver who turns on the lights in the newsroom.
